The best and the most common practice being followed till now by box manufacturers is natural drying. This, as everyone is aware, has many limitations. In dry and hot weather it is possible to use this conventional method but not without the involvement of large open spaces and huge labour costs. In rainy season or cold weather, natural drying becomes impractical. Also, it is not possible to get uniformity in different weather conditions or with different qualities of paper, varying flute sizes, ply number, etc.

Advantages of Box Drying Machine
	Proper drying of boxes i.e. attaining optimum moisture level
	Natural drying of boxes gives highly inconsistent results which can be drastically improved by the use of Box Drying Machine. The Variable speed drive of the machine gives the freedom to dry heavy and light boxes at the desired level. Heavy boxes with more number of plies have greater moisture content and so the conveyor speed may be slowed down to achieve desired results. Contrarily lighter boxes with lesser number of plies having less moisture may be passed on the conveyor at a much faster speed.

	The air cyclone generated in the machine helps the hot, dry air to penetrate all parts of the corrugated box, specially the corners which are crucial to the box strength and remain largely unaffected in the natural drying procedure. 	No deformation of boxes during the drying process
	The main reason for any box to deform is uneven drying on parallel surfaces (plies) of the box. When one ply of the box dries more as compared to the other ply, tension prevails because of adhesive bonding. This tension results in arch like formation of the board and hence the box deforms. Such an outcome is totally eliminated when using Box Drying Machine because the hot air cyclone ensures uniform drying in all parts of the box. Therefore all plies of the box dry uniformly avoiding any tension and retaining their original shape. Also the special racks in which the boxes are placed leave little room for the boxes to deform as compared to natural drying where the boxes are free to take any shape.
	Multiple options of heating source to choose from
	The machine comes with an electric heating system which is clean, easy to use and very reliable. Areas where electricity is expensive can opt for a diesel or kerosene fired heating system at an additional cost. Provision can also be made for boiler attachment in the machine.
	Optimum utilization of Space
	The box drying machine covers a small area as compared to the large open spaces required for drying boxes naturally. It can be comfortably installed in the dispatch store or any other place conveniently available in the factory.
	Instant start up and continuous usage
	An ideal heating system, air cyclone and high quality insulation help the box drying machine to deliver within 5 minutes of start. This facilitates drying of small lots without incurring any major additional cost. The machine is designed for continuous usage and can be run for any amount oftime non stop.

	Minimal requirement of manpower
	Being automated, the machine requires only three men for loading, unloading and bundling operations. This is much lesser than what is required for natural drying where either a large part of the factory work force or contractual labour is needed for spreading and collecting the boxes.

The Box Drying machines are of two types:

SBLQ SERIES
This machine is capable of handling small boxes in large quantities. It is conveyorised and provided with optimum temperature controls, racks, etc. Box quantities in excess of 6000 in 10 hours with a maximum weight of 1 Kg per box can be dried in this Series. It is available in 3 capacities indicating moisture quantity .in kilogr,ams the machine can eliminate. For e.g. SBLQ 200 can reduce moisture leve1 of 2 tons of boxes by 10% in 10 hours or of 4 tons of boxes by 5% in 10 hours.

LBSQ SERIES
This machine is capable of handling large boxes in small quantities. It is manual and provided with optimum temperature controls, trolley, etc. This Series can dry quantities up to 2500 boxes in 10 hours with weight per box exceeding 1 Kg. It is available in 3 capacities like SBLQ.


In addition, the machine can be designed as per specific requirements of the box manufacturer and can be offered with alternative fuels.
